Shipping and Return Policy

We strive for excellence on every single order placed at The Drum Den. Please review the following policies regarding shipping and returns to ensure your experience is an excellent one!

Domestic Shipping

Shipping prices only apply to the continental United States. We ask that residents of Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Alaska contact us before making a purchase to get the best shipping rate available.

Items that are offered with “Free Shipping” will only apply to the continental United States.
If you choose to return an item that was purchased with “Free Shipping”, the actual cost of the shipping will be deducted from your final refund.

In the event that an item is out of stock or unavailable, we will contact you immediately.

The majority of our items are shipped via FedEx Ground. Smaller items and parts sometimes ship through USPS. All items are shipped with tracking and are insured for up to $100 value. Please let us know when placing your order if you require expedited shipping, additional insurance, or a signature upon delivery. Additional fees may apply.

We do our best to pack and ship each item safely, securely, and for a reasonable fee. In keeping with this policy, we will occasionally nest drums inside each other, or disassemble items. Some assembly may be required. Please contact us if you prefer we NOT nest, or disassemble items. Additional fees may apply.

In the event that shipping the shipping cost is significantly higher or lower than we originally charged you, we reserve the right to either refund, or send you an invoice for the difference.

Most of our items ship within 24 hours of placing an order. Occasionally there may be a delay because of the size of the item. Please let us know if you need your order to arrive by a certain date.

International Shipping

The majority of our international orders ship through USPS Priority Mail. FedEx International will be used when USPS does not apply. We require that all international orders are fully insured. We are not responsible for any additional taxes, import duties, VAT, or other charges that your country might charge you. We encourage you to contact your local authorities in regards to any fees you may incur. We are not responsible for any delays in customs. We do not falsify documents in regard to shipment values.

We accept most major credit cards (AMEX, Discover, Visa, Mastercard), verified Paypal, as well as bank or wire transfers from international customers. International cards will sometimes require special processing, so please contact us if you have any problems with the checkout on our website.

In the event that an item is damaged, or lost by the carrier, the buyer is responsible to open their own investigation with said carrier within 48 hours of receiving the item. We cannot offer any refunds or replacement items until the investigation(s) are complete.

Any items that are returned to us due to any restrictions that the buyer’s country may impose, will be subject to a restocking fee, and any shipping fees.

The Drum Den will assist customers with any returns for a Manufacturer’s Warranty. Buyers are responsible for any and all shipping charges to and from The Drum Den or the original warranty provider.

 Returns

Please contact us via email if you would like to return an item for ANY reason within 48 hours of receiving your order.

We will accept returns on NEW items returned to us within 14 days of you receiving the item. We do not accept returns on any used, sale, discount, clearance, or vintage items. We do not accept returns on shirts, or hearing protection where personal hygiene may be a factor. Any new items must not show any signs of use, or have any dings, dents, or scratches. Items may be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Buyers will be responsible for the cost of shipping both to and from them.

In the event that you choose to return an item, please re-pack the item in the original box with all packing materials to ensure the item is returned without damage. Tracking must be emailed to us at info@thedrumden.com. Also, be sure to include your original sales receipts and/or packing slips.

We now allow a maximum of 2 returns per year per customer.

Special and Custom Orders

Please email us regarding specifics for any special or custom orders. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit on any special or custom orders. Please understand that is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to change or cancel any orders once they have been placed with the manufacturer. Once your order has arrived or is completed, the buyer is responsible to pay the full balance within 30 days or will risk forfeiting their initial deposit.

Layaway

From time to time we offer layaway to our customers. Items under $500 can be held for up to 30 days and items over $500 can be held for 60 days. A minimum initial deposit of 20% is required and is non refundable in the event that a buyer decides not to purchase said item. Layaway deposits can only be used toward the initial item held for layaway.

Consignment

We frequently take items in under consignment. This can be a great way for the seller to get the most value for their item(s) while selling it in a professional retail environment. The Drum Den takes 20% of the final sale value. In the event that an item does not sell for an extended period of time, The Drum Den may ask the seller to lower the price. In the event that the seller chooses to reclaim their item(s), The Drum Den will charge a 10% service fee to cover the costs of storage and listing fees. The Drum Den is not responsible for any damage that may incur while being stored in our showroom.
